Products

Q: What is the difference between ‘tonnes’ and ‘cubic metres’?

A: Cubic metre is an area measurement, whereas tonne is a weight.  Lighter products (eg barks, mulches, etc that you may get from a nursery) will be measured by the cubic metre. Our sands and metals are sold by the tonne.

Q: Where does the product come from?

A: The product is obtained from our own quarries located on the Yorke Peninsula.

Q: What is your delivery cost?

A: Delivery cost will be built into your quoted price. The delivery charge will be dependant upon where you want the product delivered.

Q: What is the minimum tonnage you deliver?

A: 10 tonne of product is our minimum delivery.

Q: What size deliveries can I get?

A: We can deliver in a Semi Tipper (up to 25 tonne), or a Tipper Truck (up to 12-13 tonne), or the Truck and Trailer (up to 25 tonne).  When ordering the product, if you can let the staff know whether there are any obstacles (ie power lines, tight area, etc), we can advise on the appropriate vehicle to deliver.

Q: Can I get a mixed load of sand and gravel?

A: Yes, we have truck and trailers, therefore we could do a split load for you – one product in the tipper, and one in the trailer.

Q: Are you able to tell me what my delivery will cost prior to it being delivered?

A: Yes.  We can provide you a written quote (which can either be faxed, emailed or posted to you), or we will multiply your requested amount by the tonnage rate for that product and verbally quote it to you.

Earthworks

Q: I want my block cleared. Can someone come out to have a look and give me quote?

A: Yes. If you would like to send us your details through the Contact Us page on this website, including information about what you would like done, we will then prepare a written quote and forward it to you.

Q: Are the earthmoving machines available for hire?

A: You will need to speak to the Manager, to check the availability of the machine, and also to advise of your qualifications to operate. Plant and machinery is also available for hire, pending availability, with one of our operators.

Toilets, Showers & Temporary Fencing

Q: Do you hire the toilets and/or shower for a weekend, or overnight?

A: Yes. The facilities are available for short term hire, as well as long term hire.

Q: What is the cost to hire a toilet?

A: Contact us and you will be able to find out the hire fees, plus the other associated costs.

Q: Will you set up the fencing when it is delivered?

A: Yes, your quote will include the installation/erection of the fencing.

Q: What areas do you deliver the toilets/showers/fencing to?

A: All over the Yorke Peninsula, and north to Port Pirie and Port Augusta, around to Whyalla, and east to the Port Wakefield/Balaklava area. Please contact our office if you would like to know what the delivery fees would be.

General

Q: What are your trading hours?

A: Because of the nature of the business, the hours vary. However, the office is staffed from 8.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We have a number of options for payment: Cash, cheque, EFTPOS, credit  card (including AMEX), or direct deposit to the bank account. COD is also available upon delivery of the products. If you wish to pay COD, please advise the office staff, so the driver can be notified, and also to ensure they are carrying the correct change if necessary.

Q: What are your payment terms?

A: Our payment terms are strictly 14 days for account customers, unless prior arrangement has been made with Management. If you would like to become an account customer, please contact our office to organise the paperwork to be completed.
